Presidential Jetty

The ceremonial jetty on the waterfront directly in front of Republic Square, where heads of state step ashore on official occasions. Its pavilion pairs traditional Maldivian craftsmanship, lacquered timber columns and carved wooden fretwork, with a gold crescent and star on the gable. You pass it naturally on the walk between Republic Square and the markets.
